It’s very good for using when traveling. Nice you can have your pass on your phone and not have to worry about losing an actual ID. But there is a VERY big issue with the location. It never updates on its own, so you have to reload the app for it to get your actual location, for example I could start at A and go to B without reloading the app and the app will STILL say your at A. This is ESPECIALLY bad if you activate your ticket from the easy ride without reloading, because your ticket will be invalid because it still thinks your at A, and if you get checked you will have to pay a fine even though you have a ticket. It is very annoying to remember and if you are getting directions from the app they will be erased too. Please fix this

This app is beyond useful and extremely efficient

This app has a great user interface and is very easy to use. It is a must for any trip to Switzerland. It is the official app for Switzerland railroads. The app makes it easy to travel around Switzerland and find trains.

I have really used and appreciated the app. It is intuitive and can suggest proper routes using your location.

No comparison to American travel apps, this is fantastic with live maps and departure boards for getting between tight connections! Recommended by local Swiss who helped me when we had a cancelled train.

This app has put every American public transport app I’ve ever used to shame. Being my first time in Europe, and Switzerland specifically, the SBB mobile app made traveling through the country so simple. It gives every detail you could need to plan travel, and the Saved Journey’s tab and interactive map that follows your movements and provides notifications for your next transfer was extremely clear and concise. Feature rich, and user friendly! Highly recommend if this app if you’re traveling, along with the Swiss Travel Pass.

Best transportation app in earth!

Used this app extensively throughout a 7-day travel through Switzerland. Extremely useful. Very thoughtfully designed — incorporated discounts such as half fare card, Swiss travel pass, super saver. Very informative in terms of showing which sections to go to for 1st vs 2nd class — this is extremely useful as some of the trains were very long (although the platforms also have equally good displays). However I had to go to the SBB website to book a ticket for a travel from Zurich to Germany. It would be good to have this capability in the app!

Great app One easy fix would make it much better: link fields to Apple presets for things such as: name, email & CC details As a tourist using a guest login, it’s annoying to have to manually type this in each time

This app is incredibly useful if you are new to Swiss public transport! My only negative feedback is that the prices shown in the app default to assuming you have a 1/2 off travel pass. I didn’t realize this so I calculated the cost of my trip based on the first prices that were displayed. Which unfortunately incentivized me to not buy any travel discount. All my math was based on the discounted rates and I ended up spending significantly more than I would have if I bought a 1/2 off travel pass. Also look into other options like the day pass (which you need to buy in advanced)

I belong to a few Switzerland FB groups (please do this so you can see just how many times this issue is mentioned). If the customer number field is for “Swiss citizens only”, please SHOW that in the field. Also, please show somewhere explicit instructions on how to add other cards to the app (BO pass) or even the STP one. Also, defaulting the app to half fare prices is extremely confusing. Maybe ask up front if you have the Half Fare card, THEN show the half fare prices. Thousands of people from all over the world are instructed to use the app. Maybe have people from all over the world QA the app. Please, please help us!

You cant add or buy a swiss travel pass or half fare pass. Registration breaks for long addresses. Heaps of “unexpected errors”. This app is totally dysfunctional. Totally unclear how much anything costs until you are several taps deep. Very disappointing for a Swiss product.

This is a fantastic train search and booking app on iOS. I use it multiple times a week. Would you consider creating an Apple Watch app to easily activate/ deactivate EasyRide please? This would make things so much easier when using this feature! While the notification when getting off a train is helpful, it is not the most reliable. It often sends it while I’m riding and sometimes forgets to notify me when I end my ride. Great app and tech! Thank you for developing it.

This App do not allow to get your tickets in the app easy, then if you try to by a ticket to go to Paris, it send you to a website!!! Impossible to change tickets online. Shameful

Make sure to check the type of ticket being purchased. The UI could better explain the different tickets and the terms and conditions

A must have app that covers checking routes, planning journeys in advance and purchasing tickets for all forms of land and water transportation within Switzerland and to nearby cities in countries bordering Switzerland. Provides the current location of trains or buses on the route so you know how far away it is from your stop. Provides multiples choices based on routing and time. Provides platform info for trains, location of coaches on the platform (Gleis) and much more…..highly recommended for all visitors and tourists to Switzerland

After traveling around other countries in Europe with subpar transportation apps, I feel compelled to leave this app a 5-star review because it is simply amazing! This app makes buying train tickets easy and also helps navigate you to the closest stations. You will definitely need this in Switzerland!

This is probably one of the best apps if not the BEST app I have ever used. It makes navigating trains, buses and other forms of transportation so much easier. I would have missed several trains without this app and it has allowed for far easier travel along with having that spontaneous feel with it. It makes buying tickets much easier and anyone can easily use it. It also applies to other countries like Germany which is very nice if you plan on traveling through multiple countries. If you haven’t already, download this app immediately.

Been in Switzerland for a couple of days now and absolutely love everything about this app! Everything about it is superb: the time tables, the alerts, being able to buy tickets on the spot or ahead of time, maps of the stations that show you how to make a change, and showing you exactly where you are on your journey. I thought the apps for other train systems in Europe were good, but this one raises the bar to an entirely different level!

Wanted to set up Easyride. It says you must be registered. But it won’t let me register… app gets stuck in “an error occurred” loop after I put in all my info to register. Went to their website. Same thing. So, no way to register, buy passes or set up Easyride. Expected more from a Swiss app.

This app takes all the stress and worry out of Swiss travel. Amazing accurate information and easy use. Loved. Even went the wrong way and was able to immediately buy a cable car ticket while holding up the line. Very pleased.

I was not even able to make an account unless i went to the sbb office in Geneva,and it still was not sending me security codes to my phone for verification.And also on the app im still not able to add my swiss pass like what😂

I can’t seem to get access to EasyRide. I have a iPhone14 and iOS 17.3.1. The app asked for approval for “movements and activities” but only choice is to toggle on “live activities”. This doesn’t work and I’m stuck. Pls help!

This app will get you around anywhere in Switzerland on point, you just tell it where to and that’s it.

This is the best transport app I’ve ever used and is so helpful for getting around town and tracking your journey between stops!

This is what you should get for Switzerland if you use public transportation. I am Swiss and only use this, from trains to boats to mountain cable cares this has you covered most of the time unless it is a privat cable car, which there are a few around in Switzerland. Cheers

I was in Switzerland for 14 days and this app got me around the country with ease! It’s easy to use, updates to itineraries are timely. For example, I was getting a connecting train and the platform I needed to get ti was updated quickly so I made the connection! Really made the trip more enjoyable and took a lot of the travel stress away.

Overall, this is a very good app with solid features, but an Apple Watch version is missing. Particularly, I see the following features on Apple Watch that will add much value for the user: 1. Show purchased ticket. Currently it’s possible via wallet, but not so convenient. 2. Show Swiss pass. Currently not possible on Apple Watch. 3. Easy ride start and stop. 4. Train schedules I have been waiting for an Apple Watch version for a long time already. It does not seem to be on SBB’s agenda, and I don’t understand why.

When in Switzerland this app is a must-have. I recommend it to anyone visiting or living in Switzerland by default! 🇨🇭 🚆

It’s a model for every other transit app. Intuitive interface, responsive and reliable. Covers trains owned by several different rail companies in addition to funiculars, cable cars, gondolas, buses and everything in between. We are using it extensively on a two week trip in Valais and Berber Oberland. Trip planning works just the way you would expect. Easy to purchase a ticket with one click. If you have an active pass the discount is automatically applied. The QR code is readily available in the app for checking by the rail staff or for scanning by an automated gate. Truly impressed.

I’m a tourist trying to use this app for my vacation but nothing in the app will work for me. I can’t even register to login. Totally useless

It is tragic this app only has one review in the App Store. Someone put their heart and soul into designing this app and it shows. You will not find a better public transit app out there. Download this app just to look at Swiss trains and bring a little joy to your day.

If only other countries’ transit apps were are comprehensive and reliable.

This is the best trains & ticket app I’ve used anywhere in the world. SBB really takes user feedback and continually improves - I can’t find a single fault.

I purchased a 15 day Travel Pass and used this app practically everyday… so helpful in guiding schedules. Could not have had a better aid. Loved it!

I used this app on my first visit to Switzerland and I can confidently say it was a super asset. This app will be your best friend as it both looks good and functions well. Planning any route is just two taps away with this must-have app. (Note: I was using a travel pass purchased separately, so I did not use the app to manage passes--only used for navigation.)

It’s really hard to understand how to book tickets on this app. Once you figure out that you hit the timetable button, it won’t book half fare prices, even though the half fare card is connected to account .
